THE STORY
SOJO began as a vision, a space where real wellness goes deeper than the surface. Founded by us Sophia Joanna & Peter.
SOJO didn’t start as a business idea.
I watched too many people walk into fitness spaces already feeling behind intimidated, self-conscious, unsure if they belonged. They weren’t lazy. They weren’t unmotivated. They were overwhelmed, unsupported, and tired of being made to feel like the problem.
I knew movement could change lives I’d seen it. Experienced it. Coached it.
But only when people felt safe enough.
SOJO was built differently. With intention and our core values at work. Help. Heal. Educate.
Not ego.
Not performance.
Not the loudest instructor or the hardest workout (but still is 😁).
It was built around people.
Around coaching instead of shouting.
Around progress instead of perfection.
Around creating a space where someone could walk in on their worst day and still feel welcome.
I wanted a place where showing up mattered more than how good you were.
Where strength was something you built not something you were expected to already have.
That’s why SOJO isn’t about quick fixes or extremes.
It’s about consistency.
About confidence.
About helping people rebuild trust in their body and belief in themselves.
Everything we do every class, every trainer, every decision comes back to one question:
Does this make people feel stronger, safer, and more supported?
If the answer is yes, we do it.
If it isn’t, we don’t.
SOJO is the space I wish existed for more people.
And it’s only just getting started.
